Kagzipura: Reviving a 700-Year-Old Legacy
Nestled between the Daulatabad Fort and Ellora Caves, Kagzipura is a historic town whose handmade papermaking tradition dates back seven centuries. Through a transformative collaboration with INTACH, Cosmo Foundation is helping the town reclaim this legacy — building a Model Heritage Village where cultural preservation meets sustainable development.
In partnership with INTACH, Cosmo Foundation is supporting the Hand Made Paper Manufacturers Co-op Industrial Society Ltd. to help revive this traditional craft — strengthening manufacturing, machinery, maintenance, and marketing to make the mill self-sustaining for the long term.
What We Are Doing

Health & Wellness: Strengthening Rural Communities
Cosmo Foundation has made significant strides in improving the well-being of rural communities through a range of health and medical initiatives. In partnership with hospitals, we have organized large-scale Health Awareness and Check-up Camps across villages in the Karjan and Gangapur Blocks.
What We Are Doing

Educated communities on nutrition, oral hygiene, and prevention of common illnesses

Flood Relief: Standing With Communities in Crisis
Cosmo Foundation has been at the forefront of providing relief and support to affected communities during disasters and emergencies, responding swiftly wherever needed most.
What We Are Doing
Yamuna Floods, July 2023-
Partnered with ISKCON to distribute relief materials, essential medical kits, and cooked meals

Reached 2,000 flood-affected people across 8 locations along the Yamuna riverbank in Delhi
Narmada Floods, September 2023-
Worked closely with local administration to support villages in the Karjan block that lost homes and livelihoods

Distributed 4,500 kg of grocery kits to 800 flood-affected residents across four villages
Cyclone Biparjoy, June 2023-
Coordinated with district officials and village sarpanches to raise disaster-preparedness awareness

Reached 20 villages with a combined population of 10,000, helping ensure villagers' safety
Punjab Floods, Sangrur-
Supported Umeed – Flood Rehabilitation Initiative, helping rebuild permanent shelter for flood-affected families in Sangrur, Punjab

Response to COVID-19: Standing With Vulnerable Communities
The COVID-19 pandemic brought not only significant health challenges across India but also a deep socio-economic crisis — with daily wage workers and vulnerable communities bearing the brunt of prolonged lockdowns. In response, Cosmo Foundation took proactive steps to support economically disadvantaged sections of society through large-scale relief efforts across Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi, and Rajasthan
