Foundational Literacy & Numeracy
Program Overview
This program aims to strengthen foundational literacy by imparting reading, writing, arithmetic, and life skills aligned with NEP 2020 among rural children. Most students in remote areas lack basic functional literacy skills, hampering their overall learning and development. Our Cosmo Gyan Vihar Kendra encourage students to explore, experiment, and express their thoughts and emotions effectively.

Our efforts are not limited to imparting literacy but also to nurturing inquisitive minds that guide children on the path of lifelong learning. We also train local women (Balmitras) to educate students, fostering both quality education and community self-sufficiency.
Why This Program
We believe that foundational literacy is the cornerstone of education. However, many rural children still lack these essential skills. The Cosmo Gyan Vihar Kendra (Foundational Literacy & Numeracy) program strengthens foundational literacy through activity-based learning, helping students develop reading, writing, arithmetic, life skills, and hygiene practices.

Our team has thoughtfully designed the curriculum to improve functional literacy skills through engaging and interactive learning methods. This program also serves as the foundation of our Digital Literacy Program, where basic literacy is essential for students to successfully develop digital skills.
